October and November give the clearest mountain views and the most stable weather, and March to early May is the second window, with rhododendron forests in bloom and warmer nights. December and January are cold but very clear at lower altitude. June to September is monsoon — still workable in rain-shadow areas such as Upper Mustang.
Ghorepani Poon Hill (4–5 days) is the usual answer: real Himalayan views, teahouses the whole way, and nothing above about 3,210 m. If you have a week to ten days and reasonable fitness, Mardi Himal or Annapurna Base Camp are the natural step up.
