Itinerary

Outline below; we tailor rest days and pacing to your group.

  1. 1

    Day 1: Pokhara → Pumdi Bhumdi → Bhumdi village (1,340 m)

Drive from Pokhara to the trailhead village of Pumdi Bhumdi (~30 minutes). Begin trekking through rice paddies, banana groves, and subtropical forest — a gentle warm-up day through Brahmin and Gurung farming communities. Overnight at a local teahouse in Bhumdi.

  2. 2

    Day 2: Bhumdi → Panchase Bhanjyang (2,030 m)

Ascend steadily through dense forest of rhododendron and oak, crossing small streams and passing traditional villages. Arrive at Panchase Bhanjyang ridge — first expansive Himalayan views open up. Overnight at a simple ridge lodge.

  3. 3

    Day 3: Sunrise at Panchase Peak (2,517 m) → Bhadaure (1,420 m)

Early morning hike (about 1 hour) to Panchase Peak for the best mountain panorama on the trek — 360° views stretching from Dhaulagiri to Manaslu. After breakfast descend through peaceful pasturelands and forest to Bhadaure village. Overnight teahouse.

  4. 4

    Day 4: Bhadaure → Kade → Australian Camp (2,060 m)

Walk through villages and cultivated hillside to Kade, then ascend to the famous Australian Camp viewpoint — a favourite for sunrise and sunset over the full Annapurna range. This site, once used as an Australian aid camp, now offers comfortable teahouse lodges with commanding views. Overnight at Australian Camp.

  5. 5

    Day 5: Australian Camp → Dhampus (1,650 m) → Phedi → Pokhara

Morning views from Australian Camp, then trek down through the traditional Gurung village of Dhampus — one of the most photogenic villages in the Annapurna foothills, with a direct mountain backdrop. Descend to Phedi for the road pickup and short drive back to Pokhara.
